When and where is the match?
When: The match will be on Tuesday, February 20 at 8:45 PM BST.
Where: Stamford Bridge (home)
Who will play?
Antonio Conte is expected to play the strongest possible squad against Barcelona, it’s the most important match for Antonio Conte and Chelsea so far this season and they will eye to take an advantage of playing at home and score against Barcelona. Alvaro Morata is expected to start as well against Barcelona, which he knows well.
We predict the starting Xl to be as follows:
Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois
Defenders: Andreas Christensen, Gary Cahill (captain), and Cesar Azpilicueta
Midfielders: Marcos Alonso, N’Golo Kante, Cesc Fabregas, and Victor Moses
Forward: Willian, Eden Hazard, and Alvaro Morata
Chelsea will play one of the strongest teams this season defensively and offensively in Europa. It won’t be an easy match at all where Chelsea will defend to try not to concede an away goal from Barcelona, but also they need to take an advantage of playing at home to score. We expect a 2-1 win for Chelsea.
Last time Chelsea and Barcelona played in 2012, Chelsea knocked out Barcelona from the semi-final and won the Champions League for the first time in its history.
