PLAYERS RATINGS: Chelsea 3-2 Southampton And Man Of The Match. Remuntada, WOW!

A very disappointing match for Chelsea for the first 70 minutes, until the French striker, Oliver Giroud, came on the pitch and gave Chelsea a hope by scoring a goal, followed by two goals from Eden Hazard and Oliver Giroud again.

Chelsea conceded two goals today, one in the first half and another int he second half, for very silly defensive mistakes where the defensive line was so shaky and very easy to overpass. However, Chelsea were able to come back from behind and score three goals to secure the three points within minutes.

We will rate our players after every match, here are Chelsea Insider players ratings:

Courtois: Conceded two goals today, didn’t really do much. However, made a very crucial save on the 91st minute. 5/10

Azpilicueta: Wasn’t his best day, was at fault for the first goal, but was maybe the best of the three defenders. 5/10

Christensen: Was at fault as well for the first goal, and a very poor match. 5/10

Cahill: Not sure whether he should be at Chelsea next season with such performance. Was at fault for both goals and was marking Southampton’s players in a very poor way. 4/10

Zappacosta: Was he even playing? we didn’t notice him and his poor form gave Southampton an advantage to attack. 3/10

Alonso: Wasn’t so good today, but made an assist for Giroud’s goal, maybe the only good thing he did today. 6/10

Kante: An average match today. 7/10

Fabregas: His form and performance is declining every match, was very average today. 6/10

Morata: Went missing, and was so nervous. 4/10

Hazard: Even though he had a poor 70 minutes, but he still makes the difference and scored the equalizer. 7/10

Subs

Giroud: Gave Chelsea a gold win and three important points, and scored his first two Premier League goals with Chelsea. 8/10

Pedro: Was better than Zappacosta in the offense, gave some dynamic for the attack. 5/10

Moses: not much time to rate, but came to secure the win. However, was going to let Chelsea concede the equalizer through a bad marking in the extra time. 5/10

Man of the match: Even though Oliver Giroud played just in second half, but he made the difference and scored two goals which gave Chelsea the win. That’s what we call a super sub!

Antonio Conte (manager): A very poor match for 70 minutes, then Chelsea made a remuntada and scored three goals within 7 minutes only. Even though Chelsea won 3-2, but the performance isn’t convincing, not sure if he will be at the Stamford Bridge after the summer. 6/10
