Marcos Alonso Breaks A 2 Seasons High Record

Chelsea has drawn with Arsenal yesterday in the London Derby 2-2 where both teams scored in the second half in an exciting match this season.

Chelsea players weren’t in their top form yesterday at the Emirates Stadium, but some players were able to make the difference with some moves such as Eden Hazard and Marcos Alonso who both scored the two goals for Chelsea to avoid a loss and give their team one tough point.

However, the Spaniard, Marcos Alonso,  kept on breaking his own records after yesterday’s match where Marcos Alonso’s goal against Arsenal is the 12th goal for the Spanish defender in the Premier League since his arrival to Chelsea in the summer of 2016 coming from the Serie A side, Fiorentina.

The 12 goals Marcos Alonso scored made him the most defender in the Premier League to score goals since Marcos Alonso arrived to the Stamford Bridge where the second defender to score goals in the period is already 5 goals behind Marcos Alonso with 7 goals only.

Marcos Alonso has scored six goals this season with Chelsea in the Premier League so far, which is the same number the Spaniard scored with Chelsea during the whole season to help the Blues win the Premier League trophy under Antonio Conte in his first season in England.

Knowing that Marcos Alonso plays as a left wing-back for Chelsea and he is still in the beginning of the second half of the season, which means Marcos Alonso has a chance to exceed 10 goals in one season, which is a number that strikers score in a season and even more than Pedro who has 4 goals only this season in the Premier League.
