Frank Lampard Names The One Player Chelsea Should Sign In January

Frank Lampard, Chelsea’s former player, and legend has revealed the one player that he wishes to see Chelsea signing in the next winter transfer windows, in January.

In an interview with the British sports channels, BT Sport, Frank Lampard urged Chelsea to sign a new striker to help Alvaro Morata, Chelsea’s current striker, in scoring goals and rotate him.

Frank Lampard believes that Chelsea should resign their former Spanish-Brazilian striker, Diego Costa, who Chelsea sold to Atletico Madrid last summer.

Frank Lampard said:” I think Chelsea should add to their squad. Alvaro Morata is Chelsea’s sole striker, Antonio Conte doesn’t seem to trust Michy Batshuayi.”

Lampard continued:” I think a backup striker is needed in January. They also have to strengthen the midfield next summer. Chelsea should strengthen everything because every other club in the Premier League is strengthening.”

Diego Costa has left Chelsea last summer to his former club in La Liga, Atletico Madrid, but didn’t play with his new club yet due to a transfer ban the Spanish club is having, and Diego Costa will be able to participate and play with Atletico Madrid by next January.

Knowing that Diego Costa had several issues with his former managers such as Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte and that was one of the reasons Antonio Conte sold him, regardless of his great abilities as a striker.
