Chelsea’s manager, Antonio Conte, has commented on Philippe Coutinho’s deal to the La Liga side FC Barcelona today, Saturday from Liverpool FC.
The deal of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona is estimated to be around 160million Euros, 140million British Pound, according to some reports.
Antonio Conte said in a post-match conference after Norwich City’s draw in the FA Cup:” We are talking about a good player, and certainly his loss will affect Liverpool in the coming games,” Conti said in an interview reported by the British newspaper Metro.
Conte was asked about the ability of Chelsea to compete with such big deals, Conte said:”I think this question should be directed to the board of the club, not to me, but with this price, I doubt we can compete.”
Knowing that Chelsea has signed the English midfielder, Ross Barkley, yesterday from Everton FC for a fee estimated to be around 15million British Pound, almost 11% of Philippe Coutinho’s deal.
Chelsea has played today in the first match of the FA Cup against Norwich City in the Carrow Road, away from home, and both teams drew 0-0 after Antonio Conte made nine changes to the starting Xl compared to the one that played against Arsenal int he Premier League
