Conte: Chelsea’s Title Race Is OVER

Antonio Conte, Chelsea’s manager, has admitted that his team is out of the Premier League title race after losing against West Ham United today.

Chelsea has lost 1-0 in the London Derby against West Ham United today where the Blues conceded an early goal from the hammers and failed the equalize.

Antonio Conte said in a post-match interview to Sky Sports:” When you lose four matches, according to my previous experience, it’s impossible to stay in the title race. You may lose one or two matches maximum, not more. You should be consistent to compete for the title and we lack consistency.”

Conte continued:” When you lose four matches in 16 games, it means that you should put a different target this season.” which is suggested that he means finishing in the top four as Chelsea’s target this season.

Antonio Conte has raised the issue of fatigue and rotation several times this season, and today as well, where he blamed the fixture and busy schedule for the bad form of the players where they are suffering from a fatigue, and the board refused to let Conte sign big names to rotate and compete during the summer, according to reports.

Antonio Conte played 10 players from the squad that played against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday, except Marcos Alonso who played instead of Victor Moses.

Knowing that Chelsea has now 32 points, 11 points away from Manchester City who is on the top of the table. On the other hand, Tottenham Hotspur’s manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has revealed that the title race for the Spurs is over as well after their bad results.
