Chelsea Match Report And Players Ratings And Man Of The Match Against Newcastle United

A great 3-1 win for Chelsea against The Magpies, Newcastle United, in the Premier League matchday 15 where Chelsea overcame Newcastle United after they scored in the first 15 minutes, but Chelsea was able to score three goals by Eden Hazard twice, and Alvaro Morata, in order to secure three important points and prepare for the clash against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.


We will rate our players after every match, here are Chelsea Insider players ratings:

Thibaut Courtois: can’t be blamed for the goal, calm match. Was a bit shaky sometimes by keeping the ball with him. 6/10

Andreas Christensen:  Good match and was close to scoring. 7/10

Cesar AzpilicuetaDecent, as usual. One of the underrated defenders in the world. 7/10

Antonio Rudiger: Calm match 7/10

Cesc Fabregas: His long shots are so dangerous. Not his best form today, but sprayed some good long shots. 6/10

N’Golo Kante: It’s hard to find a bad match for Kante. Had some good long shots to help the attack. 7/10

Marcos Alonso: Can’t be blamed for the first goal, good match as well. He seems a bit exhausted and needs a rest for sure. 6/10

Danny Drinkwater: A much better game than the previous one. Good partnership with Kante. 7/10

Victor Moses: He deserves to start over Zappacosta, won a penalty for Chelsea and assisted the second goal. He was always dangerous and was close to scoring. 8/10

Eden Hazard: Always dangerous, was a headache for Newcastle’s defenders and scored twice and was close to the hatrick. 8/10

Alvaro Morata:  Was always dangerous and moving to the sides letting Hazard be the main striker, one goal as well. 8/10




Tiemoue Bakayoko: Average. N/A
Willian: No time to impress. N/A
Gary Cahill: Came to secure the result. N/A

Man of the match: Eden Hazard deserves the man of the match. He was always dangerous and scored twice for his team and gifted them the three points. Was close to scoring a hatrick as well. Even though Victor Moses deserves a mention for his contribution today, and he even deserves to share the man of the match award with Hazard.

Antonio Conte (manager): Led his team to another victory regardless of the fatigue the players are going through. He has to prepare for Atletico Madrid match now. 7/10
