Chelsea 2-0 Brighton Players Ratings And Man Of The Match

Finally, Chelsea is back on the winning track and in a sensitive period, boxing days, after a disappointing performance against Everton, even though they weren’t an easy opponent. Good job for the Blues today.

We will rate our players after every match, here are Chelsea Insider players ratings:

Courtois: A clean sheet, nothing much to do. 6/10

Azpilicueta: Good defensive match, and an assist. You know what happens when Azpilicueta passes to Morata. 7/10

Cahill: Average match from Chelsea’s captain. 6/10

Rudiger: Was defending well and helped in the attack as well. Was close to scoring in some moments. 6/10

Alonso: One goal and a good performance, and crosses. 7/10

Moses: A good match in the attacking side, he was close to scoring as well. 7/10

N’Golo Kante: Did his job, as usual. Always running for the ball and high pressing on the opponent. 7/10

Bakayoko:  Still not convincing, but average match. 5/10

Fabregas: A good match, good passes and got an assist. 7/10

Hazard: Was leading the attack, always trying and dangerous. 8/10

Morata:  Another header and another goal, a class performance. 8/10



Willian:  Replaced Hazard, but can’t get to his level. But tried to push forward. 5/10

Batchuayi: Tried to go forward, but he had eight minutes only. N/A

Drinkwater: No time to impress and rate him. N/A

Man of the match: Alvaro Morata was fabulous today, an early goal in the first half changed everything.

Antonio Conte (manager):  Getting back on the winning track was important, and Brighton was defending all the time. Good job for today. 7/10
