Chelsea has won yesterday, Tuesday, in the Premier League matchday 2-0 against Brighton where one of Chelsea’s key players missed the match for unknown reasons before the match.
Chelsea and Denmark’s young defender, Andreas Christensen, has missed Chelsea’s win against Brighton due to illness, according to Antonio Conte, Chelsea’s manager.
Antonio Conte has said in a post-match interview: “Andreas Christensen missed the match due to sickness, he was planned to start, but he got sick so I played Gary Cahill in the centre of the defense for the first time.”
The 21 years old defender, Andreas Christensen, has became one of Chelsea’s best defenders this season after his brilliant performances where the youngster played 21 matches with Chelsea this season, four in the Champions League, two in the EFL Cup, and 15 matches in the Premier League and has proved himself over Gary Cahil, Chelsea’s captain, and David Luiz.
Andreas Christensen has come back this season from the Bundesliga side, Borussia Mönchengladbach, after a successful loan spell in Germany.
It is still not confirmed whether the young defender will be able to make it to Chelsea’s Premier League match on Saturday against Stoke City, or Antonio Conte will be forced to start with the same back three who played against Brighton which are Azpilicueta, Cahill, and Rudiger.
