Chelsea was reported to be interested in signing a new striker during the winter transfer windows, this month January, to help Alvaro Morata score goals and rotate with the Spanish striker.
According to the latest reports from the Daily Mail and Telegraph, Chelsea received an injury blow after the medical reports and news of Chelsea’s striker target may be out for around four months, if he needs to undergo a surgery.
The reports suggest that the former England and Liverpool striker who plays for the London club West Ham United, Andy Carroll, is injured ahead of his expected move to the Stamford Bridge.
The recent medical examinations show that Andy Carroll is suffering from an ankle injury which may rule him out for around six weeks, but that’s not everything. Andy Carroll may require a surgery which means his season may be over due to the need for a four months layout for the English striker.
Chelsea are reported to be waiting for the results of further examinations to decide whether they will proceed with the transfer, or withdraw from it if the players require a long time to recover, depends on the medical examinations.
