Antonio Conte: I Tried To Sign Alexis Sanchez Before

Chelsea’s manager, Antonio Conte, commented on Alexis Sanchez’s situation during a press conference ahead of Leicester City’s match today in the Premier League Matchday 23 at home, Stamford Bridge.

Antonio Conte said:” Alexis Sanchez is a great player and he knows that very well. During my first season in with Juventus in Italy, we tried to sign him from Udinese, but Alexis Sanchez decided to stay go Udinese instead of signing with Juventus.”

Antonio Conte continued:”Alexis Sanchez is a great player and I have admiration for such players. He is a top player, if he had more time in his contract, his price would be 80 or 90 million Euros.”

Knowing that Alexis Sanchez is linked for a transfer to Manchester United or Manchester City this month for a small fee estimated to be around 20-25million British Pounds.
