Antonio Conte, Chelsea’s manager, has admitted that the Spaniard forward, Pedro Rodriguez, dived against Norwich City in the FA Cup second leg at home, Stamford Bridge, last Wednesday.
Pedro Rodriguez, Chelsea’s forward, played against Norwich City on Wedensday where Chelsea won after the extra time in the penalty shootout where two Chelsea players, Alvaro Morata and Pedro Rodriguez, were kicked after receiving two yellow cards and Pedro received one of these yellow cards due to diving.
Antonio Conte confessed that Pedro dived in that match against Norwich City, but he justified the dive and said:” I will be honest with you, I watched the videos of the three cases against Norwich City, according to Pedro, I should be honest and we have to accept it, he dived. The player in such situation is intelligent enough and he can understand his mistake and he, Pedro, understood his mistake.”
Thos comes after the criticism for Pedro for diving and trying to deceive the referee for a penalty where Chelsea needed a goal to qualify directly without the penalty shootout.
