Alvaro Morata, Chelsea’s striker, was suffering from a back injury he picked up in the 1-0 loss to West Ham United last Saturday in the Premier League Matchday 16, and missed the 3-1 win against Huddersfield Town due the injury.
In a pre match conference ahead of Southampton match, Antonio Conte, Chelsea’s manager, has handed Chelsea fans an injury boost about their striker, Alvaro Morata.
Antonio Conte said:” Alvaro Morata is better, he is back to the full training, and he trained with us two days and trained today as well.”
Conte continued:” He has pain in the back, but he will play tomorrow.”
Knowing that Alvaro Morata is considered one of Chelsea’s best players, and one of the best Premier League strikers this season where he contributed directly in 13 goals by goals and assists with the Blues since his arrival in the summer from Real Madrid.
Chelsea will face tomorrow The Saints, Southampton, and will look to continue their winning run in order for the remaining chances of winning the Premier League title and chasing Manchester City, who is on the top of the Premier League table, after Antonio Conte said that the title race may be over for Chelsea this season after they lost 1-0 in the London derby against West Ham United.
