Chelsea will play tomorrow, Saturday, in the Premier League Matchday 21 in the last match in 2017 against the shaky Stoke City who is fighting relegation.
Chelsea has got an injury boost after confirming that several Stoke City key players won’t be able to play against Chelsea at home, Stamford Bridge, tomorrow.
Mark Hughes, Stoke City’s manager, will be forced to play young players instead of the experienced players, especially in the defense, which means Chelsea will be able to win the match easily and with less effort, after confirming that Stoke City’s captain, Ryan Shawcross, is injured in his knee after Stoke City’s 1-1 draw against Huddersfield Town in the Premier League last Tuesday.
On the other hand, Bruno Martins Indi, Stoke City’s defender, is injured as well in his thigh and won’t be able to play for several weeks, which means he will be dropped from Chelsea’s clash.
Moreover, Chelsea’s player who is on loan to Stoke City, Kurt Zouma is injured as well alongside side the defender, Glen Johnson, who played for Chelsea previously who is injured as well in his knee.
This means that almost most of Stoke City’s defense line will be from young players tomorrow, which will make it easier for Chelsea to score and finish the match with the least effort in this busy period and start preparing for the big clash on the 3rd of January in a London Derby against Arsenal away from home, at the Emirates Stadium.
