Chelsea will be playing today in the FA Cup semi-final at the Wembley Stadium against the Saints, Southampton FC, where the Blues Chelsea FC will be facing Southampton for the second time within a week after winning against them 3-2 last week in the Premier League.
Chelsea will be fighting until the end for this competition and will be eyeing to reach the final for the second consecutive year after losing the final last year against Arsenal FC in a London Derby, where this year Manchester United will be the second side in the final.
However, Chelsea have received a very bad news after confirming that one of Chelsea’s key players is banned by the FA, Football Association, and will be missing today’s match in the FA Cup, in addition to other matches.
The FA, English football association, have officially released their statement regarding Chelsea’s Spaniard wing-back, Marcos Alonso, and he was charged with violence against one of Southampton’s players and he will be banned for three matches which the first match will be against Southampton as well in the FA Cup, and the other two matches will be in the Premier League.
This will give Antonio Conte, Chelsea’s manager, a hard time to replace the Spanish player where Davide Zappacosta failed to convince as a replacement for Marcos Alonso since his arrival from the Italian Serie A at the beginning of this season.
